Novel Sounds出的唱片屈指可数，它没有其他日本电子的厂牌的高产，但是确实质量最精良的一个厂牌，几乎每次发行的合辑请来的都是日本首屈一指的艺人和乐 队，这次依旧不例外，借自家乐队Matryoshka07年发行的专辑《Zatracenie》为壳，邀请了众多当红一线电子艺人和和独立乐团来进行混 音，力图将这张口碑极佳的唱片重新玩出新花样。值得庆幸的是Novel Sounds的选择又一次展示了厂牌老板毒辣的眼光，取得了不俗的效果。看看这份参与混音的艺人名单吧：World’s End Girlfriend、Helios、Tujiko Noriko、Miimi、Headphones Remote以及Aus等，哪个不是名头响当当的人物。
《Zatracenie》本是Matryoshka对于后摇滚和独立电子进行的一次融合尝试，在原作唱片中，以后摇滚的肌理感为主，是完全属 于Matryoshka特有的独立电子风格，而然今年刚过混音的武装，《Zatracenie》变成了《Coctura》，整张唱片的风格也顺着艺人的加 入而变得丰富起来，比如《Sink Into The Sin》在World’s End Girlfriend的处理下，从一首清新的小电作品变成了一首天马行空的后摇滚作品，World’s End Girlfriend使用他一贯的手法，以吉他的效果变化为中心，在曲子中不断穿插各种电子音效，在曲子的尾段更是融入了自由爵士、科技电子这类的元素， 让人叹为观止。《My Funeral Rehearsal》则是在Helios的操刀下显得古典韵味十足，从开头的氛围渲染开始即以钢琴打底，辅以曼妙的原作女声。《Ezekiel》被 Riow Arai改成了Trip-hop风格的舞曲，充满了迷幻的黑暗感。《Anesthetic》和原作的差别不大，但是Aus更注重将自然氛围的渲染注入曲子 中，其他几首曲子的改变也是和原作相差甚大，既有纯粹的后摇滚也有舒缓的民谣。
日本的音乐人喜欢给自己的朋友的作品混音，所以经常推出一些出色的混音专辑，这种理念逐渐影响到了全世界的独立电子界，但是像 《Coctura》这样大牌云集的混音专辑的推出却很少，除了Novel Sounds之前的几张炒冷饭的合辑，也只有No.9的《Usual Revolution And Nine Remix》能与之相媲美了。
